Jeff was called to the Bar in 2012 and specialises in all areas of landlord & tenant law, real property
and has experience in a range of commercial & chancery matters.
Jeff has a busy modern chancery practice and is frequently instructed in the County Court, High
Court & First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber). His daily practice involves advice, drafting and
appearances in a wide variety of property, landlord & tenant & general chancery disputes.
The majority of Jeff’s practice is primarily focused on disputes involving landlords & tenants; in
particular, service charges, forfeiture, rent reviews and covenant breaches. He is active in disputes
relating to neighbours including party wall matters, easements, nuisance, trespass and boundaries.
Jeff also undertakes inheritance Act 1975 claims, cohabitation disputes and enforcement issues
arising from any of the above areas.
Before training as a barrister, Jeff was the commercial & legal manager at the music technology
Jeff is the independent chairman of the Eastbourne Leaseholders’ Panel which represents the
interests of 700+ leaseholders. He is also a keen volunteer with the Chancery Bar Litigation In Person
Support Scheme (“CLIPS”)
